.eu   .eu is the country-code top-level domain (ccTLD) for the European Union. Registration of .eu domain names domain names is restricted to individuals who live in the EU, and companies or organisations who trade or operate in the EU. The .eu TLD was launched in 2005, and was initially only offered to government bodies, and then to companies with trademarks. Finally, the domain names were offered to other registrants on a first-come, first-served basis. The TLD registry database is administrated by EURid.
