A subdomain is a domain which appears to the left of your registered domain name. For example, in the URL faq.webzsol.com, faq is a subdomain. Subdomains are used to divide websites into different sections. Because A-records can be used to point different subdomains of the same domain name to different IP addresses, subdomains can be useful if different parts of your website are hosted on different servers.
